Why tipping is switched off

Our Ko-fi page was unpublished on 17 September for gambling, because the bot has a few card and dice games. Those games use play chips handed out free by /daily and voting. Chips can't be bought, sold or cashed out, and no tip ever touches them. There are no prizes, no payouts and no real-money wagering anywhere in the bot.

We've renamed the bot to Teto Zone, rewritten the page around what it's really for, and are asking our payment provider to confirm the use case so Ko-fi can review it again. Until then there's no way to tip, and we'd rather say so than leave a button that goes nowhere.

Meanwhile

Nothing you use has changed

AI chat: Free in every server
Free through: 2026-12-31
Spend cap: $2/day per server
Moderation, stats, games, TTS: Always free

That cap is roughly 500 replies a day per server. It is a ceiling, not a promised number.

If you wanted to help

Hold onto it for now

There is deliberately no payment button on this page. Wiring up a second payment processor in the middle of a review is how you end up explaining two of them.

When the Ko-fi page is back, this page will point at it again. If the review goes the other way, we will set up GitHub Sponsors and say so here.

Questions

The short answers

Does this affect paid server tabs?

There are none to affect. While the free promo runs to 2026-12-31 no server needs a tab, and none has one.

Is anything switched off?

No. Every feature still works in every server.

Where are the policies?

Terms, privacy and pricing are public at github.com/Milkhaus-tech/teto-zone. The bot's own source is private.

Is my data affected?

No. Nothing about the review touches the bot or anything it stores. /teto-erase-me still wipes your archive and profile on request.
